Influence of Yangxin Dingji Capsule on Ventricular Premature Beat and Heart Rate Variability in Unstable Angina Pectoris after Per-cutaneous Coronary Intervention

Abstract：Objective To investigate the influence of Yangxin Dingji capsule (YDC)on ventricular premature beat (VPB)and heart rate variability (HRV)in unstable angina pectoris (UAP)after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Methods Ninty-eight pa-tients with UAP after PCI were enrol ed and randomly divided into two groups:control group (n=49)treated with routine treatment, and treatment group (n=49)treated with routine treatment plus YDC for 4 weeks. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)syndrome efficacy,VPB,as wellas HRV parameters were observed and analyzed before and after treatment. Results The total efficacy rate of TCM syndrome was 83.7% in treatment group,which was higher than that in control group (67.3%,P<0.05). The VPB was signifi-cantly decreased in two groups. And it was shown that the VPB in treatment group was lower compared with that in control group (P<0.01). The parameters of HRV were also significantly improved compared with those in the control group after the treatment (P<0.05).Conclu-sion YDC can decrease VPB,improve TCM syndrome in patients with UAP after PCI. Its possible mechanisms may be related to improving HRV and inhibiting sympathetic activity.
