Abstract:Objective To determine the prevalence of autonomic neuropathy (AN)in patients with non-diabetic and diabetic aortic dissection(AD),and investigate the role and mechanism of diabetic autonomic neuropathy(DAN)in AD formation. Methods AD pa-tients were revisited from January 2013 to December 2015,and indentify the symptoms of AN.The aorta of healthy individuals,AD and diabetic AD patients were harvested. The expressions of tyrosine hydroxylase(TH)and choline acetyltransferase(ChAT)were detec-ted by immunohistochemistry. Results Diabetic AD patients had a higher incidence of hidrosis or hyphidrosis (P=0.05).Expres-sions of TH and ChAT were significantly increased in AD patients(P<0.001).Conclusion AD formation is associated with the ac-tivity alteration of automic nervous system.
