Abstract:Objective To observe the clinical effect of Tongmai decoction(TMD)in the prevention and treatment of restenosis in pa-tients with qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Methods One hundred and twenty patients with qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome after PCI were randomly divided into two groups:control group(n=60) treated with routine treatment, and treatment group (n=60)treated with routine treatment and TMD for six months. The traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndromes, electrocardiogram (ECG),and pathological changes showed in coronary angiography were observed. The levels of serum high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP),tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-α and interleukin(IL) 6 were detested. Results Three patients terminated the test. The total effective rate of TCM syndromes was 92.98% in treatment group, which was significantly higher than that in control group(80.00%,P<0.05).The total effective rate of ECG was 89.47 in treat-ment group, which was significantly higher than that in control group(70.00%,P<0.05).The levels of serum hs-CRP,TNF-α and IL-6 were lower in treatment group than that in control group after treatment(P<0.05). The rate of restenosis was lower in treat-ment group than that in control group(P<0.05).Conclusion TMD can down-regulate the levels of serum hs-CRP,TNF-α and IL-6, reduce the rate of restenosis in patients with qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome after PCI.
