Clinical Observation on Xingnaojing Injection and Atorvastatin in the Treatment of Acute Cerebral Infarction

Abstract：Objective To observe the effect of Xingnaojing injection (XNJI)and atorvastatin in the treatment of acute cerebral infarc-tion (ACI).Methods Ninety-one patients with ACI in our hospital from 2013 August to 2015 February were selected and divided randomly into two groups:control group (n=45)treated with XNJI,and treatment group (n=46)treated with XNJI plus atorvasta-tin.The clinical therapeutic effect,average onset time of treatment,adverse reactions were observed. Neurological deficit was as-sessed by National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).The activities of daily living (ADL)was evaluated by Barthel Index (BI).Results The total clinical effective rate was 93.48% in treatment group,which was significantly higher than that in control group (77.78%,P<0.05).The average onset time in treatment group was shorter than that in control group(P<0.05).The adverse reac-tions reduced in two groups.After treatment,the scores of NIHSS and BI were improved in two groups,which was better in treatment group than that in control group(P<0.05).Conclusion XNJI and atorvastatin can improve the neurological deficit and ADL in pa-tients with ACI.
