Abstract:ObjectiveTo investigate the efficacy of metoprolol tartrate and flunarizine for preventive treatment of migraine. Methods Eighty patients with migraine were randomly selected from January 2015 to January 2016 and randomly divided into two groups:con-trol group (n=40)treated with flunarizine, and observation group (n=40)treated with metoprolol tartrate and fluorine. The head-ache symptoms disappeared time, treatment time, curative effect, and adverse drug reaction were observed and evaluated. Results The effective rate was 92.5% in observation group, which was significantly higher than that in control group(72.5%,P<0.05). The headache symptoms disappeared time and treatment time in observation group was significantly shorter than that in control group (P<0.05). There was no significantly difference in adverse reactions (dizziness, fatigue, sleepiness and so on)between two groups(P>0.05). Conclusion Metoprolol tartrate and flunarizine in prevention of migraine treatment can significantly improve the treatment effect of patients, shorten the duration of headache, and does not increase the adverse reaction.
