Abstract:Objective To investigate the protective effect of hypothermia and vitacamphorae injection on cardiac function after cardiopul-monary resuscitation, and its influence on the levels of serum interleukin (IL) 1,IL 8,IL 12,and IL 18.Methods Seventy eight patients with autonomic circulation after cardiopulmonary resuscitation were randomly divided into two groups:control group(n=38) treated with routine treatment plus hypothermia, and observation group(n=40)treated with routine treatment plus hypothermia and vitacamphorae injection for 2 weeks.Cardiac function and the levels of hemodynamics index were compared between two groups.Ser-um leves of IL 1,IL 8,IL 12,and IL 18 were detected. Results After treatment,E/A and LVEF in observation group were higher than those in control group (P<0.01).Cardiac index and cardiac output in observation group were higher than that in control group, while pleural fluid level and heart rate were lower than that in control group(P<0.01).After treatment, the levels of serum IL 1,IL 8,IL 12 and IL 18 were lower than those in control group (P<0.01).Conclusion Protection of hypothermia and vitacamphorae injection on cardiac function after cardiopulmonary resuscitation is significant, and it may be related to down regulation of serum IL 1,IL 8,IL 12,and IL 18 levels.
