The Influence of Buyang Huanwu Decoction on MMP 2,MMP 8 in Patients with Stroke

Abstract：Objective To investigate the influence of Buyang Huanwu decoction (BHD) on matrix metal oproteinase (MMP) 2 and MMP 8 in patients with stroke.Methods One hundred and twenty patients with stroke in our hospital from 2011 June to 2013 June were se-lected.One hundred healthy individuals were as controls.The levels of MMP 2 and MMP 8 were observed.Results The levels of MMP 2,MMP 8 in stroke patients before treatment were higher than control group.The levels of MMP 2,MMP 8 in stroke patients after treatment were higher than before treatment( P<0.05).The syndromes differentiation of stroke were positive correlation to MMP 2,MMP 8 levels ( P<0.05).Conclusion The MMP 2、MMP 8 level of stroke patients by Buyanghuanwu decoction are obviously decreased,the clinical symptoms of patients are improved,which should provide reliable theory basis for prognosis recovery.
