Abstract:Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of Xuefu Zhuyu decoction (XZD)and western medicine in patients with acute cerebral infarction (ACI),and its impact on the levels of calcitonin gene related peptide (CGRP),endothelin (ET) 1,S100 βand glial fibril ary acidic protein (GFAP).Methods One hundred and six patients with ACI from January 2012 to June 2015 were randomly divided into two groups:control group (n=53)treated with conventional treatment, and bservation group (n=53)treated with con-ventional treatment plus XZD.The efficacy after the treatment, and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS),Fugel Meyer score,CGRP,ET 1,S100 βand GFAP levels were detected before and after treatment. Results The total effective rate in observa-tion group was 90.57% better than73.58% in control group (χ2= 4.104, P<0.05).Before treatment, there was no significant differ-ence in the levels of NIHSS,Fugel Meyer score,CGRP,ET 1,S100 βand GFAP between two group (P>0.05).After treatment, the levels of NIHSS score,ET 1,S100 βand GFAP were in two groups significantly lower than those before treatment, reducing levels in observation group were more significantly obvious than those in control group (P<0.01).After treatment, the Fugel Meyer score and CGRP levels were in each group significantly higher than those before treatment (P<0.01),increasing levels in observation group were significantly more obvious than those in control group (P<0.01).Conclusion The therapeutic effect of XZD combined with western medicine in patients with ACI is significantly obvious, with lower nerve damage and motor function to be improved, their mechanism maybe improve cerebral vascular systolic and diastolic function,so as to improve the blood supply of the brain.
