Impact of Yiqi Tongmai Decoction on Gal 3,ESM 1 and Omentin 1 in Patients with Angina Pectoris

Abstract：Objective To observe the efficacy of Yiqi Tongmai decoction (YTD)combined with western medicine,and their impact on the levels of heart function,blood viscosity,galectin 3 (Gal 3),endothelial cel specific molecule (ESM) 1 and human Omentin (Omentin) 1.Methods Eighty six patients with angina pectoris,from January 2010 to December 2014,were randomly divided into two groups:control group (n=43)treated with conventional treatment,and observation group (n=43)treated with YTD plus con-ventional treatment.Efficacy after treatment,the levels of left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF),6 min walk test (6MWT),N terminal brain natriuretic peptide (NT proBNP),plasma viscosity,erythrocyte aggregation index,hematocrit ,Gal 3,ESM 1 and Omentin 1 before and after treatment were observed in each groups.Results The total effective rate was 95.35% in observation group signifi-cantly higher than 76.74% in control group (χ2=4.746, P<0.05).Before treatment,the levels of LVEF,6MWT,NT proBNP,plasma viscosity,erythrocyte aggregation index,hematocrit,Gal 3,ESM 1 and Omentin 1 had no significant difference between two groups (P>0.05).After treatment,the levels of LVEF and 6MWT were significantly higher in two groups than those before treatment,the lev-els of NT proBNP, plasma viscosity, erythrocyte aggregation index, hematocrit, Gal 3, ESM 1 and Omentin 1 in two groups de-creased compared with those before treatment,and the elevated or decreased levels were significantly more obvious in observation group (P<0.01).Conclusion YTD can improve the efficacy of western medicine in patients with angina pectoris, enhance cardiac function,reduce blood viscosity,improve endothelial function,and inhibit the release of inflammatory cytokines.
