Influences of Fufang Wenban Decoction and Enhanced External Counterpulsation on TXA2 in Coronary Heart Disease

Abstract：Objective To observe the clinical curative effect of Fufang Wenban decoction (FWD)and enhanced external counterpul-sation (EECP)for treatment of coronary heart disease (CHD)unstable angina pectoris (UAP)and its influence on serum thrombox-ane A2 (TXA2 )levels.Methods One hundred and twenty patients with UAP were randomly divided into two groups:control group(n=60)treated with routine treatment,treatment group(n=60)treated withroutine treatment routine treatment and FWD plus EECP for 4 weeks.The angina symptoms integral,angina pectoris curative effect and TCM syndrome integral,TCM syndrome curative effect and serum TAX2 levels were observed.Results After treatment,angina symptoms integral,TCM syndrome integral were decreased sig-nificantly in two groups,which was significantly lower in treatment group than that in control group(P<0.05).The significant efficien-cy of angina symptoms and TCM syndrome in treatment group were significantly higher than that in control group(P<0.05).The lev-els of serum TXA2 were decreased significantly in two groups,which was significantly lower in treatment group than that in control group(P<0.05).Conclusion FWD and EECP is obviously effective for UAP.It may be one of its mechanisms by blocking the syn-thesis of TXA2 in platelets and inhibiting platelet aggregation.
