Abstract:Objective To study the change of left frontoparietal network (LFPN)in stroke patients with hemiplegia. Methods Fifteen stroke patients with hemiplegia were recruited to undergo resting state functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI)scanning.An-other 15 matched healthy subjects underwent same scanning for comparison. We analyzed the functional connectivity (FC)of the LFPN between stroke patients and healthy subjects by using the independent component analysis. Results Compared with healthy sub-jects,the stroke patients showed significantly increased FC in the LFPN.Conclusion The enhanced FC of the LFPN provided further evidence for the compensatory role played by the contralesional hemisphere during motor function recovery.
