Clinical Observation on Qilong Tongluo Capsule in the Treatment of Atherosclerotic Cerebral Infarction

Abstract：Objective To observe the effect of Qilong Tongluo capsule (QTC)in the treatment of patients with atherosclerotic cerebral infarction. Methods One hundred and fifty patients with atherosclerotic cerebral infarction were randomly divided into treatment group,the placebo group and the control group,each group were 50 cases. The patients of control group were given such as aspirin, clopidogrel etc,such as captopril antihypertensive medications,such as those of nitrate medications,such as different yamanashi ni-trate ester drug therapy,and add ginkgo biloba capsules agent and stilbene dragon know luo capsule simulation agent.The patients of Placebo group were given the standard treatment and Ginkgo biloba capsules agent and QTC simulation agent. The patients of treat-ment group were given the standard treatment and Qilong Tongluo capsule and gingko leaf capsule simulation agent. To observe the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF),nitric oxide (NO),superoxide dismutase (SOD),National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)score,traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)symptom integral before and after 8 weeks of treatment. Results There were no difference in VEGF,NO,SOD,NIHSS score TCM symptom integral among three groups(P>0.05). After 12 weeks of treatment,the treatment and placebo group compared with the control group,the serum levels of VEGF,NO,SOD were in-creasd(P<0.05),NIHSS score and traditional Chinese medicine symptom integral were decreasd(P<0.05).The treatment com-pared with placebo group,the serum levels of VEGF,NO,SOD were increasd(P<0.05),NIHSS score and traditional Chinese medi-cine symptom integral were decreasd(P<0.05). Compared total effective rate of the three groups,it was higher in the treatment and placebo group than the control group(P<0.05),it was higher in treatment group than the placebo group(P<0.05). Conclusion QTC can improve vascular endothelial fuction,decrease NIHSS score and TCM symptom integral in patients with atherosclerotic cer-ebral infarction.
