Influence and Clinical Efficacy of Dingtong Decoction on Calcitonin Gene Related Peptide and Substance P in Patients with Migraine without Aura

Abstract：Objective To observe the influence and clinical efficacy of Dingtong decoction (DTD)on calcitonin gene related peptide (CGRP)and substance P (SP)in patients with migraine without aura.Methods Sixty patients with migraine without aura were ran-domly divided into two groups:control group(n=30)treated with flunarizine hydrochloride capsules,and treatment group(n=30) treated with DTD for 15 days.The levels of CGRP and SP were measured with enzyme linked immuno sorbent assay (ELISA)meth-od. Results The total effective rate in treatment group was higher than that in control group (90.0% vs 65.6%,P<0.05).The con-tent of CGRP and SP were decreased in two groups (P<0.01). However,the effect of the treatment group was more obvious than the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion DTD can increase clinical effect,and decrease the content of CGRP and SP in patients with migraine without aura.
