Abstract:Objective To observe the clinical effect of qi supplementing, yin nourishing, phlegm resolving and col ateral unblock-ing therapy (QYPCT)in the treatment of coronary heart disease (CHD)complicated with type 2 diabetes mel itus (T2DM)after per-cutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Methods According to the random number table method,80 patients with CHD complicated with T2DM after PCI were randomly divided into two groups:control group(n=40)treated with routine treatment, treatment group(n=40)treated with routine treatment plus QYPCT. The effect of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)syndromes curative, symptoms of angina pectoris, electrocardiogram and the changes of coronary TIMI frame count of the two groups before and after treatment were analysised. Results The total efficiency of TCM syndromes curative in treatment group was significantly higher than that in control group after treatment(97% vs 70%,P<0.05). Angina pectoris curative effect of the treatment group was better than in control group (95% vs 75%,P<0. 05). There was no statistical significance in the electrocardiogram curative effect between two groups after treatment. The coronary TIMI frame count in treatment group was better than that in control group (P<0.05).Conclusion QYPCT can effectively improve the TCM syndromes curative, symptoms of angina pectoris and shorten the coronary TIMI frame count in pa-tients with CHD complicated with T2DM after PCI.
