Experience of Professor Xu Hao on Treating Paroxysmal Atrial Fibril ation from Deficiency,Wind and Blood stasis

Abstract：Paroxysmal atrial fibril ation(PAF)is a common cardiovascular disease routinely treated by western medicines or radiofre-quency ablation.However,western medicines inevitably have some side effects,and radiofrequency ablation also has a certain recur-rence rate.Thus,how to prevent and treat PAF has arised as an unsolved problem in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.Professor Xu Hao believes that PAF is caused by deficiency of Ben and excess of Biao,which can be summarized as defi-ciency,wind and blood stasis.Accordingly,he puts forward tonifying qi and nourishing yin,activating blood and resolving stasis,and dispel ing wind and tranquil izing as treatments for PAF,and also advises boiling the decoction with alcohol.Al the methods have been practiced clinical y and have achieved notable therapeutic effects.
