Clinical Observation on Radix Clematidis Concentrated Decoction Pharyngeal Spray in the Treatment of Dysphagia after Stroke

Abstract：Objective To observe the effect of Radix Clematidis concentrated decoction pharyngeal spray in the treatment of dyspha-gia after stroke.Methods Seventy patients with dysphagia after stroke were randomly divided into two groups:control group(n=35) treated with routine treatment,and treatment group(n=35)treated with routine treatment plus Radix Clematidis concentrated decoc-tion pharyngeal spray for 2 weeks.The water swal ow test scores were assessed.Results The scores of water swal ow test were im-proved in two groups after treatment(P<0.05).The swal owing function recovery in treatment group was better than that in control group(P<0.05).The clinical effective rate was 71.4% in treatment group,which was significantly higher than that in control group (31.4%,P<0.01).Conclusion The routine treatment with Radix Clematidis concentrated decoction pharyngeal spray can improve the swal owing function,reduce the complications,improve the nutritional status and quality of life in patients with dysphagia after stroke.
