Abstract：The animal model of focal cerebral ischemia plays an important role in the investigation of pathophysiology,pathogenesis of ischemic cerebrovascular disease.The paper summarizes animal selection,modeling method,model improvement method and the lat-est research progress of focal cerebral ischemia animal model and so on.
