Buyang Huanwu Decoction Combining with Acupuncture for the Treatment of Cerebral Infarction:A Meta Analysis

Abstract：Objective To systematical y evaluate the effectiveness and safety of Buyang Huanwu decoction (BHD)combining with ac-upuncture for treatment of cerebral infarction.Methods Such databases as PubMed,Cochrane Library,CNKI,CBM and WanFang data were searched to col ect randomized clinical trials (RCTs)on cerebral infarction from inception to January,2016.Then according to the exclusion and inclusion criterias,extracted data and assessed the methodological quality.At last,the meta analysis was per-formed using RevMan 5.2 software.Results Sixteen trials were included involving 1 446 patients.The meta analysis results showed that BHD and acupuncture improved the effects of cerebral infarction [OR=3.24,95% CI (2.41,4.37),P<0.000 01].The scores of neural function defect scale and the hemo rrheology indices were significantly lower in BHD and acupuncture group after the treat-ments.Conclusion Compared with the control group,BHD could improved the effects of cerebral infarction,but it needs much more and better randomized,double blind,control ed trials to confirm.
