Antihypertensive Effects of Xuefu Zuyu Decoction and Long acting Calcium Antagonists

Abstract：Objective To observe the antihypertensive effects of Xuefu Zuyu decoction(XZD)and long acting calcium antagonists (LACA).Methods Seventy six patients with essential hypertension(EH)were randomly divided into two groups:control group treated with LACA,and treatment group treated with XZD and LACA for 4 weeks.The clinical efficacy was observed.Results The to-tal clinical effective rate was 97.36% in treatment group,which was significantly higher than that in control group(84.22%,P<0.05). After treatment,blood pressure decreased in two groups.The antihypertensive effect in treatment group was better than that in control group(P<0.05).Blood lipid levels were improved in two groups.There was statistical significance in total cholesterol (TC),triglycer-ide (TG)and high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL C),low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL C)levels before and after treatment in treatment group(P<0.05).Conclusion XZD and LACA has an obvious antihypertensive efficacy,which is better than that of LACA alone.
