The Influence of Tongluo Huatan Capsule and Atorvastatin on the Platelet Aggregation and Inflammatory Cytokine Levels in Patients with Acute Cerebral Infarction

Abstract：Objective To investigate the effects of Tongluo Huatan capsule(THC)and atorvastatin on the levels of platelet aggrega-tion and inflammatory cytokine in patients with acute cerebral infarction(ACI).Methods One hundred and twenty four patients with ACI were divided into two groups:control group(n=62)treated with atorvastatin,and observation group(n=62)treated with ator-vastatin and THC.The levels of anti platelet aggregation effect and changes of hemorheology were observed.Results The total ef-fective rate was 96.77% in observation group,which was higher than that in control group(83.87%,P<0.05).The levels of platelet aggregation after treatment in observation group were lower than that in control group,while platelet focus were longer than that in control group (P<0.05).The levels of plasma viscosity,low shear whole blood viscosity and fibrinogen of observation group were lower than that in control group(P<0.05).The levels of high sensitivity C reactive protein (hs CRP),interleukin(IL) 6,IL 8 in observation group were lower than that in control group(P<0.05).Conclusion THC and atorvastatin can inhibit platelet aggrega-tion,reduce blood viscosity,reduce the inflammatory response in patients with ACI.
