Therapeutic Observation of Trimetazidine in the Treatment of Ischemic Cardiomyopathy Heart Failure

Abstract：Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effect of trimetazidine(TMZ)in the treatment of patients with ischemic cardiomyopa-thy heart failure.Methods Ninty eight patients with ischemic cardiomyopathy heart failure were randomly divided into two groups:control group(n=42)treated with routine treatment,and treatment group(n=42)treated with routine treatment plus TMZ for 6 months.The left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF),E/A ratio,left ventricular end systolic diameter (LVESD),left ventriculer end diastolic diameters (LVEDD),N terminal pro brain natriuretic peptide(NT proBNP)levels were observed.Results After treat-ment of 6 months,there was no statistical significance in the echocardiography parameters such as E/A ratio,LVESD and LVEDD in control group,but there was statistical significance in LVEF and NT proBNP in control group(P<0.05).LVEF,E/A ratio,LVESD and NT proBNP were improved significantly in treatment group(P<0.05).There was statistical significance in LVEF,E/A ratio and NT proBNP between two groups.Conclusion TMZ can inhibit cardiac remodeling and improve cardiac function in patients with ischemic cardiomyopathy heart failure.
