Changes and Significances on Correcting QT Interval Dispersion in Patients with Unstable Angina Treated with Guanxin Shutong Capsules

Abstract：Objective To explore the influence of Guanxin Shutong capsules(GSC)on correcting QT interval dispersion in patients with unstable angina (UAP),and its relationship with ventricular arrhythmia (VA).Methods One hundred and sixty four patients with UAP and 80 health individuals as controls were enrol ed in the study.Patients with UAP were randomly assigned to two treatment subgroups:Group 1 treated by routine treatment and GSC,Group 2 treamted by routine treatment.The cQTd values in 12 lead sur-face electrocardiogram at hospital admission,30 days after treamtment were measured and calculated.The occurrence of VA within 24 hours of admission and 1 month after treamtment was recorded .The cQTd,VA occurence before and after treamtment were com-pared.Results At baseline,cQTd was significantly elevated in patients with UAP when compared with control subjects,cQTd was markedly decreased after treatment (65.95 ms±11.82 ms vs.32.84 ms± 4.47 ms,P=0.000;45.47 ms± 11.20 ms vs.65.95 ms± 11.82 ms,P=0.000).After treatment,cQTd decreased significantly in two groups,and group1 declined significantly(P<0.01). Conclusion GSC could reduced the correcting QT interval dispersion in patients with UAP.
