Abstract:Objective To explore the effect and its mechanism of terbutaline on myocardial ischemia reperfusion(I/R)injury.Methods Thirty two male Sprague Dawley(SD)rats were divided into four groups randomly and equal y,sham group,I/R group,terbutal-ine group, terbutaline+L NAME group.I/R injury model was established. The different disposal methods were given according to the experiment.Myocardial morphology was observed under light microscope by Hematoxylin Eosin (HE)staining method. The protein expression of Bcl 2,Bax,endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS)was analyzed by immunohistochemical technique. The xanthine oxidase method was used to detect superoxide dismutase (SOD)activity. The concentration of malondialdehyde(MDA)was meas-ured by thiobarbituric acid method. Results Compared with the I/R group, the degree of myocardial damage in terbutaline group was significantly reduced. The expression of Bcl 2 and eNOS protein and SOD activity was significantly increased, while the expression of Bax and concentration of MDA was evidently reduced. Conclusion Terbutaline can protect myocardial tissues and attenuate my-ocardial I/R injury due to its anti apoptosis, improving endothelial function, and antioxidation.
