Abstract:Objective To observe the effects of umbilical cord blood (UCB)stem cel s transplantation on rehabilitation, and the levels of neuronspecific enolase(NSE)and nerve growth factor (NGF)in patients with stroke sequela. Methods Sixty patients with stroke sequela were randomly divided into two groups:The control group(n=30)treated with routine rehabilitation treatment, and the treat-ment group(n=30)treated with UCB stem cel s transplantation plus routine rehabilitation treatment. After one month of treatment, the Fugl Meyer motor function score and the levels of peripheral blood NSE,NGF were observed. Results After one month treat-ment,the Fugl Meyer score in treatment group was higher than that in control group(P<0.05).The NGF concentration in treatment group was significantly higher than that in control group(P<0.05).Conclusion UCB stem cel s transplantation has effect on stroke sequela.
