Abstract:Objective Astragalus injection was used in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI)received by percutaneous coro-nary intervention(PCI).The changes of clinical symptoms,Kil ip class and relative markers to verify the efficacy were observed. Methods Forty patients with AMI received by PCI were randomly divided into two groups: Control group(n=20)treated with rou-tine treatment, including anti- thrombus, coronary dilatation, lipid regulation, anti myocardial ischemia, and treatment group(n=20)treated with routine treatment along with astragalus injection, once a day,for 12± 2 days. The change of symptoms,Kil ip class and the levels of serum nitric oxide (NO),endothelin (ET),superoxide dismutase (SOD)were observed and compared. Results During positive treatments, patients in both groups were al eviated, especial y in treatment group. There was statistical significance between two groups(P=0.032<0.05).There was statistical significance in the symptoms quantitative score and Kil ip class between two groups(P<0.05 or P<0.01).The levels of serum NO and SOD in treatment group were up regulated while ET levels was down regulated, there was statistical significance(P<0.05).NO,SOD level in control group had no improvement(P>0.05).Com-parison of NO among groups had no statistical significance(P>0.05),while there was statistical significance in NO,SOD level (P<0.05). Conclusion Astragalus injection can al eviate the symptoms, improve the cardiac function, prognosis, vascular endothelial function, and enhance cel oxidative stress ability.
