The Influence of Comprehensive Chinese Medical Intervention on Cardiac Rehabilitation in Patients with Acute Myocardial Infarction

Abstract：Objective The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of comprehensive Chinese medical intervention on cardiac re-habilitation in patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI).Methods Two hundreds and thirty two patients with AMI were divided into the exposed and non exposed group according to whether to accept traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)treatment.The patient information was col ected before and after clinical observation.Statistical analysis was implemented by SPSS 15.0.Results Com-pared to the non exposed group,the exposed group did not show a therapeutic superiority on lipid levels,echocardiographic param-eters,angina scoring,scoring of TCM main symptoms.However,the exposed group had the better trend on angina score compared to non exposed group.The scores of World Health Organization Quality of Life Assessment (WHOQOL BREF)and Self rating Anxi-ety Scale(SAS)in exposed group were better than that in non exposed group(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Conclusion The comprehen-sive Chinese medical intervention could improve the quality of life and al eviate anxiety in patients with AMI.
