Abstract:Objective To investigate the relationship between the concentrations of brain natriuretic peptide (BNP),high sensitivity C reactive protein (hsCRP),cardiac troponin I (cTnI)and prognosis in patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI)after percutane-ous transluminal coronary angioplasty(PTCA).Methods Fifty patients with AMI after PTCA and conventional treatment which were conducted in our department from June 2013 to June 2014 were screened out and named as the observation group(OG).Fifty pa-tients with AMI undergone simple conventional treatment were screened out and named as the control group (CG).Fifty patients with un AMI treated by simple conventional treatment were screened out and named as the blank group (BG).The concentrations of BNP,cTnI,hsCRP in three groups were measured in the 1st and 7th day after PTCA.The major adverse cardiac events (MACE)were observed within six months. Results The concentrations of plasma BNP,cTnI,hsCRP in CG and OG were significantly higher than that in BG after 1 day of PTCA(P<0.01).There was no significant difference in BNP,cTnI,hsCRP between CG and OG(P>0.05). The concentrations of plasma BNP,cTnI,hsCRP in CG and OG were significantly higher than that in BG after 7 days of PTCA(P<0.01).The concentrations of plasma hsCRP,BNP,cTnI in CG were significantly higher than that in OG [(12.9±4.1)mg/L vs (7.5±0.5) mg/L,(1 993± 202)ng/L vs (331± 30)ng/L,(7.4± 0.4)ng/L vs (2.6± 0.2)ng/L,P<0.01].The incidence of MACE in CG was higher than that in OG(48.0% vs 18.0%,P<0.01).Conclusion The concentrations of plasma BNP,cTnI,and hsCRP can predict the prog-nosis in patients with AMI fol oning PTCA.
