Clinical Observation on Qishen Tongluo Decoction for Treatment of Ischemic Stroke

Abstract：Objective To observe the clinical effect of Qishen Tongluo decoction(QTD)for treatment of ischemic stroke.Methods One hundred and sixty patients with qi deficiency,blood stasis and wet stagnation syndrome were divided into two groups:Control group treated by routine treatment,treatment group treated by QTD and routine treatment for 14 days.The clinical curative effect,the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)and the nerve function (The NIHSS score and Barthel index)were observed,and the data were statistical y analyzed.Results After 14 days,the clinical curative effect,the efficacy of TCM and the nerve function in treat-ment group was significantly higher than that in control group of before and after treatment(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Conclusion The early use of QTD in ischemic stroke can improve the clinical effect,recovery of nerve function and symptoms of the neurologic impair-ment and activities of daily living ability.
