Effect of Yiqi Huayu Granules for Treatment of Chronic Diastolic Heart Failure with Qi Deficiency and Blood Stasis Syndrome

Abstract：Objective To investigate the effect of Yiqi Huayu granules(YHG)for treatment of chronic diastolic heart failure with qi defi-ciency and blood stasis syndrome.Methods Two hundreds patients with heart function Ⅱ to Ⅲ level(LVEF≤45%)were randomly divided into two groups:Treatment group (n= 100)treated by YHG plus routine western medicine,and control group (n= 100) treated by placebo(granular)plus routine western medicine for 2 month.The clinical effect and safety were evaluated.Results There was statistical significance in improvement of heart function level,echocardiography E/A ratio and lower extremity edema between two groups(P<0.05).There was statistical significance in improvement of qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome between two groups, the total effective rate was respectively 96.9% and 69.9% (P<0.05).Conclusion YHG plus routine western medicine was effective and safe in chronic diastolic heart failure with qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome.
