Abstract:Objective To observe the effect of Danshen injection(DSI)on the levels of blood neuron specific enolase (NSE)and nerve growth factor (NGF)in rats with cerebral infarction(CI).Methods Twenty four with the standard model middle cerebral ar-tery occlusion(MCAO)were divided into DSI group, saline group and the other 12 rats were randomly selected for the sham group. DSI group were injected with DSI 2 mLdaily, saline group were injected with saline 2 mL daily and sham group without medicine. The levels of blood NSE,NGF,and neurological deficits scores mNSS were observed before treatment, after 7 days,14 days. Results The levels of blood NSE in DSI group after 7 days,14 days were lower than that in saline group and sham group. The levels of blood NGF in DSI group after 7 days,14 days were higher than that in saline group and sham group. The mNSS scores in DSI group were lower than that in saline group. Conclusion DSI can reduce the levels of blood NSE,increase the NGF,and promote the recovery in rats with acute cerebral infarction.
