Clinical Observation on Pinggan Jianpi Decoction Plus Amlodipine in Treatment of Young aged Essential Hyptension

Abstract：Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Pinggan Jianpi decoction(PJD)plus amlodipine in treating the patients with young aged essential hyptension(EH).Methods Based on the enrol ed criteria,two hundreds and forty young aged patients with EH were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group,each group was 120 patients.The treatment group was continuously given PJD plus amlodipine,and the control group were continuously given 5 mg amlodipine once a day for 12 weeks by observing syndrome changes before and after treatment as wel as changes in 24 h ambulatory blood pressure monitoring.Results The total effective rate was 91.70% in treatment group.And its efficacy syndromes had a significant effect change.Significant im-provement in the control group and its efficacy syndromes had a significant effect change.In particular,24 h ambulatory blood pres-sure monitoring had most obvious symptom improvement (P<0.0 5).The total score of clinical symptom between treamtent group and control group had significant difference (P<0.05).Conclusion PJD is significant treatment method in young aged hyperten-sive patients.
