Clinical Observation on Dihuang Yinzi Modified Decoction for Treatment of Senile Hypertension with Deficiency Syndrome of Yin and Yang

Abstract：Objective To observe the efficacy of Dihuang Yinzi modified decoction(DYMD)plus nifedipine zyban in the treatment of senile hypertension with deficiency syndrome of yin and yang.Methods Sixty patients with senile hypertension and deficiency syn-drome of yin and yang were randomly divided into two groups:The control group(n=30)treated with nifedipine zyban,treatment group treated with nifedipine zyban plus DYMD.Results Before treatment,there was no difference in SBP and DBP between two groups (P>0.05).After treatment,SBP and DBP in two groups were decreased compared with before treatment,the difference was not statistical y significant (P>0.05).After treatment,DBP in treatment group was lower than that incontrol group(P<0.01). After treatment,traditional Chinese medicine symptom integral in treatment group was lower than that in control group (P<0.01). Conclusion The efficacy of DYMD plus nifedipine zyban in the treatment of senile hypertension with deficiency syndrome of yin and yang is better than nifedipine zyban.
