Effects of Yixinshu Capsule on Clinical Efficacy and Arteriosclerosis in Patients with Stable Angina

Abstract：Objective To observe the effects of Yixinshu capsule (YXSC)in improving clinical symptoms and arteriosclerosis in pa-tients with stable angina.Methods Three hundreds and fifty patients were randomly divided into the treated group (200 cases)and the control group (150 cases).The routine treatment for stable angina was given to al patients and the treated group was adminis-tered with YXSC for 6 months.Results The total effective rate was 88% in the treated group and 84% in the control group (P>0.05).The symptoms of angina pectoris were improved in both groups(P<0.01).Clinical symptoms such as palpitation,shortness of breath, and tiredness,and the pulse wave velocity (PWV)were improved more significantly in treated group than in control group(P<0.05).Con-clusion YXSC is effective in improving symptoms and arteriosclerosis in patients with stable angina.
