Effects and Health Economic Evaluation of Acute Ischemic Stroke Treated with Comprehensive Regimen of Traditional Chinese Medicine
Abstract：Objective To explore the effects and health econom ic evaluation of acute ischem ic stroke treated w ith comprehen-sive regimen of traditionalChinese medicine(TCM) .Me thods The patients w ith acute ischem ic stroke were divided into treatment group treated by TCM treatment and control group by western medicine treatment.The N IH S troke Scale (NIHSS) ,Modified Barthe l Index (MBI) ,Fugl MeyerAssessment( FMA) ,Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE) and Stroke Specific Quality of Life Scale (SS QOL) were observed.The effects and health econom ic evaluation were assessed by cost efectiveness analysis(CEA) . Results The FMA andMBI in treatmentgroupwas be tter than that in controlgroup( P < 0.05) .There was no statistical significance in the to-tal costs formedicine and hospitalization be tween two groups( P < 0.05) . The total costs formedicine and hospitalization in treat-ment group was lower than that in control group.Conclusion The comprehensive regimen of TCM for acute ischem ic stroke could improve the effects,and be more economic.
