Shenjing Fuyuan D ecoction P lus Aspirin in P reventing the Recurrence of Ischem ic S troke

Abstract：O bjective To observe the effect of Shenjing Fuyuan decoction (SFD) plus aspirin on preventing the recurrence of is-chem ic stroke .M ethods O ne hundred patients w ith ischem ic stroke w ere random ly divided into tw o groups :Treatm ent group ( n =50) treated by oralSFD plus aspirin ,and contro lgroup ( n = 50) treated by sim vastatin plus aspirin on the basis of routine treatm ent. Three m onths w as a course of treatm ent.Results The recurrence rate of cerebral infarction w as 6% in treatm ent group and 12% in contro l group ( P > 0.05) .The incidence rate of ischem ic events including cerebral infarction and transient ischem ic attack(TIA) w as 12% in treatm ent group ,w hich w as low er than that in contro l group ( 28% ,P < 0.05) .The decrease of platelet aggregation rate in 6 m onths ,12 m onths and 24 m onths in treatm ent group was better than that in contro l group ( P < 0.05) .There was no significant differ-ence in the low density lipoprotein cholesterolbetw een two groups.Conclusion SFD plus aspirin could reduce the incidence of ischem ic events.
