Effect of Wenxiao Decoction on Hemorheology of Patients with Carotid Atherosclerostic Plaque
Abstract：Objective To observe the effect of Wenxiao decoction on hemorheology in treating the patients with carotid atheroscle-rostic(CAS)plaque.Methods Sixty patients with CAS plaque were randomly allocated to two groups,33 patients in treatment group who were treated with Wenxiao Decoction and 27 patients in control group.They were further divided into 0.5 year treatment group and 0.5 year control group,1 year treatment group and 1 year control group.Before and after treatment,hemorheology of all pa-tients were examined.Results After therapy,the whole blood viscosity (high,medium and low shear),plasma viscosity and low shear whole blood reductive viscosity of 1 year treatment group were decreased(P<0.05 or P<0.01).And Compared with the 1 year control group after therapy,the parameters of hemorheology were also decreased obviously,but had no statistical difference(P>0.05). Conclusion With elongation of treatment time,Wenxiao Decoction could improve the hemorheology of patients with CAS plaque and it voas safe during treatment.
