Clinical Observation on Tibetan Medicine Sanwei Tanxiang Powder for Treatment of Heart Failure

Abstract：Objective To study the curative effect of Tibetan medicine Sanwei Tanxiang powder(STP)for the treatment of heart failure.Methods Seventy six patients with heart failure were randomly divided into two groups:Treatment group treated with con-ventional treatment plus STP,and control group treated with conventional treatment.The NYHA heart function classification and the level of NT proBNP were compared in two groups.Results Total effective rate was 94.74% in treatment group and 76.32% in control group (P<0.05).The level of NT proBNP was significantly decreased in two groups after treatment (P<0.05),that in the treatment group was decreased more obviously (P<0.05).Conclusion STP was safe and effective in treatment of heart failure.
