Efficacy of Ezetimibe Plus Rosuvastatin for Treatment of Elderly Coronary Heart Disease with Hyperlipidemia

Abstract：Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of ezetimibe plus rosuvastatin for treatment of elderly coronary heart disease (CHD)with hyperlipidemia.Methods Sixty four elderly CHD patients with hyperlipidemia were randomly divided into two groups:The control group treated with rosuvastatin alone,and treatment group treated with ezetimibe plus rosuvastatin.The clinical efficacy, blood lipid level and major adverse cardiac event (MACE)were compared between the two groups.Results The efficiency of clinical treatment was 87.5% in treatment group,compared with those of 75.0% in control group (P<0.05).The high density lipoprotein cholesterol in treatment group were significantly higher than control group (P<0.05).The rate of MACE,total cholesterol,triglycer-ide,and low density lipoprotein cholesterol in treatment group were significantly lower than control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Ezetimibe plus rosuvastatin could reduce MACE rate and improve curative effect in CHD with hyperlipidemia.
