Relationship between Inflammatory Factors mRNA Expression and Carotid Plaque Character in Acute Cerebral Infarction
Abstract：Objective To investigate the relationship between inflammatory factors gene expression and carotid plaque in patients with acute cerebral infarction (ACI).Methods The levels of interleukin (IL) 6,IL 10,tumor necrosis factor α(TNF α)gene expression were measured in128 patients with ACI and 65 controls.The carotid plaque was assessed by color Doppler ultrasound.Re-sults There was significant difference in the levels of IL 6 and IL 10 mRNA expression between patients with cerebral infarction and controls.The ratio of carotid instability plaque in patients with ACI was much higher than that in controls.The inflammatory fac-tors mRNA expression was more unusual in patients with carotid instability plaque.Conclusion The level of serum inflammatory factors gene expression in patients with ACI was closely related with plaque formation and plaque stability.
