Influence of Yixiao Futan Decoction on Blood Glucose Level in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus with Cerebral Infarction
Abstract：Objective To investigate the influence of Yixiao Futan decoction(YFD)on blood glucose level in type 2 diabetes melli-tus (T2DM)with cerebral infarction (CI).Methods Sixty patients with T2DM with CI were randomly divided into two groups:Treatment group (n=30)treated by YFD and control group (n=30)treated by Buyang Huanwu decoction (BHD)for 8 weeks.The levels of fasting blood glucose (FBG),postprandial blood glucose (2 h PBG),hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c),fasting insulin (FIN),and index of insulin sensitiveness (IAI)were observed.Results The blood glucose,HbA1c and islet function were improved in treatment group,which were superior to control group (P<0.05 ).Conclusion YFD had obviously hypoglycemic and cerebral protective effects.
