Effects of Fasudil Hydrochloride on Contractility and Migration of Pulmonary Artery Smooth Muscle Cells in Rats
Abstract:Objectives To investigate the effects of fasudil on the contractility and migration of rat pulmonary artery smooth mus-cle cells (PASMCs).Methods PASMCs were incubated or not (controls)with different concentrations(10μmol/L,30μmol/L,50μmol/L)of fasudil. The contractility and migration of PASMCs were investigated by collagen gel contraction assay and boyden cham-ber assay, respectively. Results Fasudil effectively inhibited the contractility and migration of PASMCs (P<0.01),in a dose de-pendent manner. Conclusion Fasudil effectively inhibited the contractility and migration of PASMCs,which might serve as an impor-tant mechanism of its anti pulmonary arterial hypertension effects.
