Clinical Observation on Supplementing Qi and Activating Blood Circulation Therapy Combined with Electro acupuncture in Treatment of Acute Ischemic Stroke
Abstract:Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of supplementing qi and activating blood circulation therapy combined with electro acupuncture in the treatment of acute ischemic stroke. Methods Total 92 cases of acute ischemic stroke were randomized in-to the treatment group (n=50)and control group (n=42).Both groups were given basic treatment. The treatment group was added with supplementing qi and activating blood circulation method and electro acupuncture. The efficacy was observed in both groups af-ter one month treatment. The National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)and the simplified Fugl Meyer Movement Scale (FMMS)was used to assess the nerve function. Results The NIHSS scores and the FMMS scores in both groups were significantly improved after treatment (P<0.05 or P<0.01),especially in treatment group (P<0.05 or P<0.01).The total efficacy of thera-peutic effect in the treatment group was 94.0%,it was significantly higher than those in control group (78.6%,P<0.05).Conclusion The supplementing qi and activating blood circulation therapy and electro acupuncture were effective for the treatment of acute is-chemic stroke, could obviously improve the neurological function with a better efficacy as compared with western medicine.
