Danhong Injection with Edaravone for Treatment of Acute Evolving Cerebral Infarction
Abstract:Objective To study the effect of Danhong injection with edaravone for treatment of acute evolving cerebral infarction (ECI).Methods One hundred and sixty patients (pts) with acute evolving cerebral infarction were enrolled and divided randomly into Danhong group treated with Danhong injection (n=79),Danhong with edaravone group (n=81) treated with Danhong injection and edaravone. Before and after treatment for two weeks, the clinical nervous function defect degree and activities of daily living (ADL) were evaluated using the nervous defect standard (NDS) and barthel index respectively.Curative effect and side effects were observed. Results The clinical nervous function defect degree was significant difference in two groups before and after treatment and that in Danhong with edaravone group was less than that in other group (P<0.01).There was an evidently difference of ADL before and after treatment in two groups (P<0.05).The total efficiency and significant efficiency in Danhong with edaravone group was 61.7%and 84%.That were obviously higher than that(44.3% and 67.1%)in other group (P<0.01).There were no obvious side effects. Conclusion Danhong injection with edaravone could improve nerve function and they were safe and effective for treatment of acute evolving cerebral infarction.
