Effect of Yunnan Baiyao Powder Capsule on Capillary Leak Syndrome of Severe Preeclampsia
Abstract：Objective To assess the clinical effect of Yunnan baiyao powder capsule on capillary leak syndrome of severe preeclampsia. Methods One hundred and four patients (pts) with capillary leak syndrome and severe preeclampsia were randomly divided into two groups:Group A (n=50) treated with Yunnan baiyao powder capsule plus magnesium sulfate and group B (n= 54) treated with magne-sium sulfate. The proteinuria excreted in the first 5 days,the negative rates of pleural effusion,ascites,levels of serum albumin on dis-charge were studied. Results The gross of proteinuria excreted in the first 5 days postpartum in group A (12.3 g±3.2 g) was signif-icantly lower than that in group B (18.7 g±2.4 g,P<0.05). The inhale oxygen time postpartum in group A(13 h±3 h)was signifi-cantly lower than that in group B (32 h±5 h,P<0.05). The negative rate of pleural effusion and ascites in group A (84%, 42/50) was significantly higher than that in group B (59.2% ,32/54 ,P<0.05). The levels of serum albumin on discharge in group A (28.5 g/L±3.2 g/L) were significantly higher than that in group B (23.3 g/L±4.1 g/L,P<0.05). Conclusion Yunnan baiyao powder capsule had a significant therapeutic effect on capillary leak syndrome with severe preeclampsia.
