Abstract:Atopic dermatitis(AD)is a skin disease characterized by chronic, recurrent, and itchy features.Chronic AD often recurs in autumn, and patients often present with symptoms such as dry skin, flaking, and severe itching.Modern medical research has shown that the pathogenesis of AD can be explored from aspects such as skin barrier disorders, immune dysfunction, and microbial imbalance.According to traditional Chinese medicine theory, dryness and evil are present throughout the course of chronic Alzheimer's disease. Therefore, the moistening dryness method is established as the basic treatment principle, and combined with methods such as nourishing qi,blood, and yin according to specific circumstances.Research has found that treating chronic AD patients with dryness theory has a definite therapeutic effect, which can effectively alleviate clinical symptoms and delay disease progression. This article reviews the research progress of traditional Chinese medicine and modern medicine in treating AD through the theory of dryness, including the explanation of the pathogenic theory of dryness, clinical treatment, and exploration of modern biological mechanisms. The aim is to reveal the scientific essence of the differentiation and treatment of AD based on dryness syndrome, and provide scientific basis for the treatment of dryness syndrome in traditional Chinese medicine.
