Abstract:Percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)effectively restores coronary blood flow and alleviates symptoms such as chest pain;however,it still carries a high risk of postoperative adverse cardiovascular events. This is primarily due to unresolved phlegm-dampness,which leads to persistent and even intensified issues of blood stasis and phlegm turbidity during the postoperative period.Current traditional Western medical methods have achieved some efficacy in treating conditions after PCI,yet the underlying etiology and pathological products remain inadequately addressed. In contrast, traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)has shown significant efficacy in managing adverse symptoms after PCI.TCM proposes a series of targeted therapeutic strategies based on its unique principle of evidence-based treatment. This article focuses on the phlegm-stasis syndrome commonly occurring in patients after PCI,analyzing the theoretical basis of TCM treatment and its practical application.
