Abstract:To address the mechanical performance requirements of a large mining dump truck bucket, this study proposes precise measurement methods for both flat and stacked volumes based on its structural characteristics and design standards.Finite element models were established for four typical operating conditions:full-load constant speed,full-load braking,full-load curve driving, and lifting at 0°.Static simulation analysis was conducted to obtain displacement and stress distribution characteristics of bucket. The results indicate that the maximum displacement is 3.21 mm,and the maximum stress is 388.46 MPa under the constant-speed condition;the maximum displacement reaches 9.90 mm with a stress peak of 491.15 MPa under the braking condition; For the curve-driving condition, the maximum displacement is 14.09 mm,and the stress peaks at 572.75 MPa;In the lifting 0° condition, the maximum displacement is 3.16 mm with a stress peak of 472.17 MPa.All maximum stresses across conditions are below the yield strength of NM360 material(≥700 MPa),and structural deformations remain within acceptable limits. These findings verifies that the stiffness and strength of the bucket meet design requirements, and providing a theoretical basis for optimizing the reliability of mining dump trucks.
