Abstract:In the numerical simulation of thermal coupling of continuous casting billet, the accuracy of the temperature of continuous casting billet has a great influence on the simulation results. In order to ensure the accuracy of temperature calculation in the secondary cooling zone of continuous casting billet, the empirical formula for calculating heat transfer coefficient of low alloy steel Q345C was modified.Firstly, the heat transfer model of the billet in the secondary cooling zone was established by using the finite difference method, and the heat transfer coefficient of the billet in the secondary cooling zone was calculated according to the target temperature. Then, the flow density of each section in the secondary cooling zone is calculated according to the cooling water volume of each section in the continuous casting machine, and the relationship between the flow density and the heat transfer coefficient is obtained. Then genetic optimization algorithm is used to fit the relationship curve between flow density and heat transfer coefficient, and the coefficient in the empirical formula of heat transfer coefficient is modified. Finally, combined with finite element software Marc, the temperature field of continuous casting billet of R9300 continuous casting machine is simulated. The simulation results show that the difference between the calculated value and the actual value is small, which proves the validity of the modified heat transfer coefficient formula.
