Abstract:The thickness gauge is the core equipment that determines the thickness control accuracy of cold-rolled strip steel. However, due to the comprehensive influence of temperature, water vapor, oil pollution,etc.,X-ray thickness gauges often have measurement deviations, which affect the longitudinal thickness difference accuracy of cold-rolled strip steel to varying degrees.Based on the above issues, the system summarizes the impact characteristics of industrial sites on the thickness measurement accuracy of X-ray thickness gauges, including the detection principle, hardware structure, process characteristics, and deviation factors.Specific maintenance measures and solutions are provided for factors such as the stability of X-ray sources and ionization chambers, electromagnetic interference, compensation of material alloys, thermal effects of X-ray tubes, strip steel detection positions, and dirt on detection windows.Based on on-site cases, the feasibility and effectiveness of the technical renovation plan have been verified, ensuring that the X-ray thickness gauge meets the requirements of high precision, high response, high sensitivity,non-contact,and no damage, and operates with high precision and no deviation for a long time, providing maximum guarantee for the accuracy and stability of rolling mill thickness control.
