Design on powder injection pipe of RH multi-functional top lance

Abstract：This study investigates RH multi-functional top lance with powder injection at home and abroad.It analyzes what effect desulphurizing rate on three perspectives:powder jet intensity,grain size and the powder lance position.A computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software is used to analyze how powder injection pipe position effects powder injection and oxygen jet,which gets a reasonable range position between powder injection pipe and oxygen lance nozzle.An on-line designed situation shows when the distance L from powder injection pipe to nozzle throat is of 60 ～ 70 mm,the maximum injection strength could get 250 kg/min,desulfurization rate could be 52％.
